It’s the best time of the year. Time to play dress up, and go load up on candy that will get you through the cold winter months! You already know what the top Halloween costumes are. Now go where you can get the best trick-or-treat bounty. The candy crazy folks over at Zillow do the trick or treating research for us and and came up with the best cities for Trick or Treating on Halloween around the country. Big thumbs up to the team for getting us the most candy on the safest streets! Where does your city rank on this list?

A little bit about the history of this candy collecting time! As per the all knowing Wikipedia – The practice of dressing up in costumes and begging door to door for treats on holidays dates back to the Middle Ages. Trick-or-treating resembles the late medieval Christian practice of souling, when poor folk would go door to door on Hallowmas, receiving food in return for prayers for the dead on All Souls Day. It originated in Ireland and Britain, although similar practices for the souls of the dead were found as far south as Italy.

Where ever you are, take these safety precautions:

1) Plan the route you will be taking in advance and let you know family know the area you will be in.
2) Wear comfortable shoes as you will be doing a lot of walking. Flats from Fit In Clouds are known for their style, value and comfort!
3) Stay well lit by applying reflective tape to part of your outfit and this way you are visible to oncoming traffic in dark neighborhoods. This ankle strap reflective tape will keep you safe and not take away from your costume.
4) Check the candy collected to make sure there are no opened packages.
