Being a Maid or Matron of Honor means always being on the go! Congratulations! You may now add “Personal Assistant” to your resume. Time to treat yourself to the MOH essentials! Above are the items I will be needing to successfully complete my duties. The best part? They all fit in ONE tote bag! Think of these items as a small yet much needed investment. Besides, a happy and organized MOH is a happy Bride-to-Be!

Why did I choose the items above?

{1}Come the end of July, most stores will be offering pretty sundresses on sale. Since they are quick and easy, I will be purchasing a few for the year ahead. {2}A planner, notepad, and colored pens are also a necessity to keep me organized. {3}Living in the South means heat and humidity! So I have added a tumbler and my new favorite lip gloss to my bag. The MOH must stay hydrated and glossed!{4}Fit In Clouds Ballet Flats fold and fit in your purse. Such a great concept for a gal on the go! Wear the ballet flats while setting up for a bridal shower or picking up decor. Then fold, place them in your bag, slip on your high heels, and viola you are ready to entertain!{5}A monogrammed tote bag will be easily identified, perfect with most outfits, and fits all of the things needed to be the best Maid or Matron of Honor.

Good Luck!

wedding weekIt’s Wedding Week here at Fit in Clouds! All week on the blog: a wedding shower outfit + spring wedding styles + a wedding-themed Weekly Roundup.

Tell us: your favorite wedding store, your favorite DIY wedding project, your favorite site for wedding inspiration, the best wedding gift you got…tell us anything wedding related!

Wedding season is officially in full swing, and with wedding season, comes wedding shower season. Wedding showers are some of my favorite parties to attend; everyone is happy, there are amazing finger foods (hello cucumber sammies!), and who doesn’t love a good sparkling punch?

Ironically, with wedding season comes the rainy season. Those unexpected late afternoon showers can really put a damper on lovely outdoor garden parties…and those pumps you bought especially for your shower-stunner frock. Your toes sink into the ground, and you end up aerating the ground with your heels (instead of the landscaper). Keep a pair of Fit in Clouds in your clutch for a quick fix. Toss your heels under a table, slip on some comfy flats, and continue mingling with the bride and her maids. You’ll be prepared for anything!

As an event professional, I’m constantly on the go: meeting with clients and then spending my weekends attending weddings, fundraisers or other events that we have going on.  During the off season I love meeting up with friends and going out to celebrate birthdays, new jobs, and more (I’m a believer that everything in life deserves to be celebrated!). While I love dressing for the occasion, I don’t love sore feet at the end of the night. Carrying along a typical pair of shoes along is nice, but they take up more space than what I have available and it’s not very professional to have shoes protruding out of your bag.

When I came across Fit in Clouds rollable flats, I was instantly drawn to their adorable and trendy styles, as well as their versatility and ability to be folded literally in half for sleek storage.  I opted for the black and white retro shoes and couldn’t wait for them to arrive to take them out on the town!  When the shoes arrived, I tested them out in a handbag to see how they’d fit.  There was plenty of room for my other night-out essentials and from the outside you couldn’t even tell what was hidden inside.

event crashers rollable flatsAfter a night in the city with friends, I changed into the flats for the seven block walk home.  Right off the bat I was extremely surprised at how comfortable these shoes were!  They were soft and cushioned and offered enough support to get me through the rest of the evening.  I’m definitely looking forward to the peak of wedding season to keep these in my bag for immediate relief.

But where else could Fit in Clouds shoes come in handy in your life?

On campus:  You have a huge presentation for one of your classes and professional suit attire is required.  You don’t mind dressing up but you aren’t looking forward to your trek to class in your adorable heels.  The solution?  Put on your Fit in Clouds flats that will still look great with your outfit as you’re walking to class, then change into your heels either right before entering the room or when you get to your desk.  Tuck your flats back into the handy bag until after class when you’re ready to walk to your next destination.

At your wedding:  There are a TON of great uses for Fit in Clouds for your wedding day!  Purchase a pair that matches your color scheme and theme to put on after all the traditional elements are done and you’re ready to rock out and dance the night away.  With the variety of styles available, you’re certain to find something that matches with your day.  You can even go one step further and purchase shoes as gifts for your bridesmaids as well, ensuring that your ladies all have matching wedding shoes.  They can even customize the bag for you with your wedding date or monogram as an amazing and unique keepsake.

For travel:  Running through the airport can be tough, especially if you’re running in winter shoes or work heels.  Packing these along in your bag can be a lifesaver in the airport, as well as at your final destination. In the near future, Fit in Clouds will even offer flip flops that could be used at your warmer vacation spots.

Where do you see yourself using Fit In Clouds shoes in the future?

Something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue- oh, and don’t the shoe! Choosing your wedding shoes may seem like a trivial task in comparison to the other items on your ever-growing wedding to do list, but nothing can ruin your wedding day fun as swiftly as sore feet. Prevent both painful blisters and buyer’s remorse with the tips we outline on the WedPics blog.

We get several several inquires from brides on giving Fit In Clouds portable ballet flats as wedding favors. We have a white and silver in the foldup ballet flats that brides generally prefer. Some brides get a handful for their bridesmaids, some get a few more for close friends, and then there are some brides that gets a couple hundred for their entire wedding party (wish I could afford that!).

We had one bride that went even further, and wanted the bags customized with initials. We were not sure how it would come out, but after a couple of rounds, the bride as well as us at Fit in Clouds were delighted! The color and print got printed perfectly, and we had one happy bride. With the ballet flat gifts taken care of for her wedding party, she could focus on the more important things!

What do you think about this custom bag for the portable ballet flats given out by the bride? Other places where the customers have customized the items include Seacrets resort, Loews Hotels and 7up

A while back, we received an email from the editor at Brides Magazine. They said there were doing a newBrides magazine wedding flats feature on portable flat and would like to ‘road test’ what is in the market and then report on the best four brands.  The others would not be mentioned. So we sent in our samples and crossed our fingers!

About two months later, we received notification that Fit In Clouds were selected as the most comfortable and will be featured in the Brides magazine in the March issue. We could not be more thrilled! We always strive to provide the most comfortable portable flats  and with this validation from Brides, it had made us even more determined to make the most comfortable and stylish portable flats ever!

In addition, some of you might remember that Fit In Clouds were also mentioned in the Martha Stewart wedding blog as perfect gift for bridesmaids. With its sturdy support and wide ranges, it is no wonder that hundreds of brides select Fit In Clouds as the wedding portable flats of choice for their wedding party! Infact, here is one bride that went a step further and customized that portable ballets flats for her entire wedding party!
